The Fogelman Executive Center on the campus of the University of Memphis will be the venue for the 2011 CNF Workshop, and we highly recommend that out-of-town participants (and maybe even those in-town folks seeking a wonderful get-away!) reserve a room at the Fogelman Center for the bargain rate of $85/night. Each room has a queen bed, free wi-fi, a balcony, and a desk for any late-night writing. Click on the link on the right-hand side of this page to go to their web site, or simply contact them at (901) 678-5410.

Be sure and tell them you are with the CNF Memphis group to get the group rate of $85/night.

For your GPS if you’re driving in, the physical address is:

330 Innovation Drive, Suite 206
Memphis, TN 38152

The Fogelman Center has free shuttle service to and from the Memphis International Airport, so just give them a call when your flight arrives and they’ll be there pronto. (The airport is only 10 minutes from the campus.)

PARKING: If you are staying at the Fogelman Center, parking in the garage next door is free. If you are commuting, please let us know so we can get you a parking pass for the garage during the workshop. OR, you may park free in the Holiday Inn parking lot across the street from the Fogelman Center.

The Holiday Inn is offering a group rate of $109/night for a suite with one king bed or two doubles, flat-screen tv, free wi-fi, and a separate sitting area. Should you choose to stay at the Holiday Inn, let them know you are with the CNF Memphis group to get the group rate. Having toured both facilities, the only reason I can see for choosing to stay at the Holiday Inn over the Fogelman Center would be if you are sharing a room with someone in order to split the cost or just to hang out together. Even then, you’ll be paying $55/person per night for a double bed and a shared bathroom, whereas you get your own queen bedroom and bath at Fogelman for only $85/night. And… at the end of each day’s events, you can enjoy free nightcaps in the hospitality suite at Fogelman without having to leave the building afterwords:-)
